CCDRA remains vigilant in protecting the Domestic Referral Agency Model. When damaging legislation has been introduced against our industry CCDRA members’ grass roots efforts have defeated the attempts of large corporations to eliminate their competition through the legislature. Attempts to put Domestic Referral Agencies out of business have been made in the past, and continue today. Why, you may ask, when we live in a society based on free enterprise. Simply put, the answer is economic gain for the large corporations who are trying to eliminate their competition, the small business owners of Domestic Referral Agencies. These corporations have attempted to smear us by suggesting that Domestic Referral Agencies operate at the expense of the worker we refer and the client that engages their service. There is nothing illegal or unfair about the Domestic Referral Agency business model, which operates under established industry laws. The Domestic Referral Agency model offers both consumers and workers another choice. For consumers, a more affordable way to meet their domestic needs. For workers, a flexible work schedule and enhanced income. CCDRA member agencies provide both the consumer and worker with these choices. Workshops are presented in Northern and Southern California communities to members and potential members to enhance the awareness and knowledge of business owners operating under the Domestic Referral Agency Model. Can you pass a government audit? Come to a Workshop to learn the laws that regulate Domestic Referral Agencies. Our goal is to strengthen our industry by making members aware of the laws that govern the industry and sharing information. It’s imperative that our members understand and comply with the laws. When they become members of CCDRA, they are making a commitment to do just that. CCDRA provides members useful information in the form of educational workshops, agency owner’s handbooks, web pages, the opportunity to network with other Domestic Referral Agencies and informational updates through e-mail and posted mailing. This valuable information provides our members with the tools and information needed to assist in operating successfully as a Domestic Referral Agency. CCDRA Board members are available by phone or email to take questions from CCDRA members and discuss their concerns. If the Board member doesn’t have a ready answer, he or she will do the research to find the answer or attempt to find a referral to do so. As an added benefit, CCDRA members can receive free advice and assistance with their office PC software. CCDRA strives to maintain a strong member organization by promoting CCDRA through phone calls, direct mail, emails and Website pages to increase membership. |
